Sophie’s Steakhouse offers a very relaxed weekend brunch / lunch, especially for people with children – service is mostly attentive although gets slow and distracted after 1 PM. The Chelsea location of Sophie’s Steakhouse, open since 2002, is very popular among Chelsea Football Club fans before a game. The Covent Garden location of Sophie’s Steakhouse is ideally located in the West End. Sophie’s offers late night dining options and it’s not just the cocktail bar that is open late, the kitchen closes at just a few minutes before midnight (in Chelsea) on all week days and on Saturday, and a few minutes before 1 AM (in Covent Garden). A challenge with Sophie’s Steakhouse is that they do not take reservations.
As one would expect from a steakhouse, Sophie’s offers extremely limited vegetarian options. The prawn avocado salad with the Marie Rose dressing was the highlight of our lunch – a crisp, fresh salad! The skirt steak salad and the burger were both well appreciated by the friends who ordered these dishes.
