Apero is a restaurant serving Mediterranean inspired food with delicious flavours and beautiful colours. Located below ground level in Hotel Ampersand, very close to South Kensington tube station, Apero has a cozy feel with Spanish tiled floor and exposed brick.
We have been to Apero for brunch a few times and have always found the service to be warm, attentive, casual and relaxed – perfect for a weekend meal. Apero is another great place to go to with kids before hitting the museums in South Kensington.
Some of the best dishes at Apero over brunch / Sunday lunch are:
- Turkish style poached eggs with yoghurt, chili and avocado
- Kohlrabli and green apple salad served with gem lettuce, dill (and some bright flowers)
- Wild mushrooms, poached eggs on onion bread with Hollandaise sauce
- Vanilla and passion fruit cupcakes (with cream icing) – not laden with sugar
